The Liberty Squadron 80 leaves from Dubai Harbour, close to the towers of JBR, the wheel of Ain Dubai and Atlantis at the tip of the Palm. The sail of the Burj Al Arab is a little further down the coast. Book four hours and there’s time to see all of it and still spend a long stretch at anchor.

Most of the day happens up on the flybridge: lunch or dinner at the table, the BBQ going, your own music on the sound system and the skyline behind every photo. There’s a sun deck for the hours in between.

Inside, the saloon has panoramic windows and air conditioning throughout, so the midday heat stays outside. The galley is fully equipped, and below deck there are three cabins: a full-beam master suite with its own bathroom, a VIP cabin and a twin.
